Apply and Pay Online
Motorists bringing cars or motorcycles registered in Malaysia and Thailand can apply for a Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) and pay for an Autopass Card online before entering Singapore.
You will need:
- Your identity card or passport
- Your employment or immigration pass card
- Your vehicle registration certificate. If it is not in English, an English translation is required.
- A valid vehicle certificate of insurance (with third party coverage for bodily injury and death). For foreign vehicles not registered in Malaysia, you must have motor insurance from a Singapore-based insurance company to cover your vehicle’s use while it is in Singapore. You may purchase the insurance from MS First Capital Limited. Visit GIA website for more details.
To facilitate your application, please ensure to submit clear and complete set of documents.
An email on the status of your application will be sent to your specified email address. You may also check your application status online using your application reference number, or your vehicle registration number, and identity card or passport number.
After receiving LTA's approval email for your online application, you may collect your Autopass Card at the specific service centre located in Malaysia which you have selected in your application (refer to the steps in LTA's approval email).
Please bring along your identification card or passport, as well as LTA's approval email. Ensure that the authorised party collecting your Autopass card has his/her identification card and your authorisation within the LTA's approval email.
To receive a copy of the outcome of your recent application for Autopass Card or to update your vehicle's road tax and insurance validity, please visit https://go.gov.sg/vepdsoutcome.
Your vehicle must have valid Autopass Card, insurance (with third party coverage for bodily injury and death), road tax and LTA's approval email before it can enter Singapore. Foreign-registered vehicles without valid vehicle entry permit, Autopass Card and LTA's approval email would be turned back from Singapore.
If you need help with your VEP Digital Service (VEPDS) application, please call or visit our service centres (open 24 hours daily) located in Malaysia.
