From 2025, new registrations of diesel-only cars and taxis will no longer be permitted.
From 2030, all new registrations of cars and taxis must be of cleaner energy models (e.g. electric, hybrid). |
Registering a vehicle |
There are 2 ways to register your vehicle:
1. Through a Motor Dealer
From 28 August 2023, all Vehicle Registration applications created by a motor dealer (i.e. Electronic Service Agent) require you to login to onemotoring.lta.gov.sg > Login Dashboard using your Singpass 2FA to provide consent and authorisation to proceed with registration.
2. Self-registration at LTA Customer Service Centre
If you are registering the vehicle personally, you will need to follow these steps:

Vehicle Licence Plate | The vehicle licence plate must be displayed on the front and back of your vehicle, with the vehicle number clearly shown.
