You can bring a bus, taxi, or goods vehicle registered in ASEAN countries into Singapore, if your vehicle has a valid ASEAN Public Service Vehicle Permit (PSVP) or ASEAN Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP), insurance, road tax and LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email. You are required to present the vehicle's certificate of insurance, road tax and vehicle registration certificate, together with the vehicle's Autopass card, GVP / PSVP and LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email upon request by authorised officers in Singapore.

Before bringing the vehicle into Singapore, you must meet these requirements: 1. Ensure that you have an ASEAN Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) or an ASEAN Public Service Vehicle Permit (PSVP). 2. Your vehicle must have valid Autopass card, road tax, vehicle insurance, GVP / PSVP and LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email for use in Singapore.
3. You will need to install a permanent In-vehicle Unit (IU) to pay Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges if you use ERP-priced roads during operating hours. 4. You will need to settle all outstanding fines for your vehicle (you can check online at AXS website for outstanding offences).
5. When entering or exiting Singapore via Woodlands or Tuas checkpoint, you will need to insert your Autopass card into the card reader at the immigration booth to record your vehicle's visit and pay entry and exit fees and charges.

Before entering Singapore
Before entering Singapore, ensure that you have the following:
- An ASEAN Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) for goods vehicles, or ASEAN Public Service Vehicle Permit (PSVP) for buses and taxis
- A valid Autopass card to validate and pay your entry and exit tolls at Tuas or Woodlands Checkpoint. Each Autopass card is encoded with particulars of the vehicle it is issued to. It is an offence to misuse an Autopass card issued to another vehicle.
- Valid road tax for the vehicle
- Valid certificate of insurance for the use of the vehicle in Singapore. You are to ensure that the vehicle has in force a policy of insurance meeting the requirements of the Motor Vehicles (Third-Party Risks and Compensation) Act 1960 for the entire period that the vehicle remains in Singapore.
- Except for Malaysia-registered vehicles insured with Malaysian insurance companies, all foreign-registered vehicles may purchase insurance from MS First Capital Limited. Visit General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) website for more details.
- Valid LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email
- Please settle all outstanding fines for your vehicle (you can check online at AXS website for outstanding offences).
Applying for an ASEAN Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) or an ASEAN Public Service Vehicle Permit (PSVP)
Please apply online for GVP or PSVP (bus / taxi) for your goods vehicles, buses and taxis and refer to the steps in LTA's approval email.
Your vehicle must have valid GVP / PSVP, Autopass card, insurance, road tax and LTA's approval email before it can enter Singapore. You are required to present the vehicle's certificate of insurance, road tax and vehicle registration certificate, together with the vehicle's Autopass card, GVP / PSVP and LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email upon request by authorised officers in Singapore.
Foreign-registered goods vehicles, buses and taxis detected at Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint without valid LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email, GVP/ PSVP, Autopass card, insurance and road tax or are in violation of Singapore regulations will be turned back from Singapore. If the vehicle is found within Singapore, it would be subject to enforcement action including vehicle seizure.

When entering Singapore
You are required to present the vehicle's certificate of insurance, road tax and vehicle registration certificate, together with the vehicle's Autopass card, GVP / PSVP and LTA's GVP / PSVP approval email upon request by authorised officers in Singapore.
You can bring your foreign-registered vehicle into Singapore via Tuas or Woodlands Checkpoint. Taxis can only enter Singapore via Woodlands Checkpoint. Insert your Autopass card into the card reader at the immigration booth to register your vehicle's entry and pay entry tolls for your vehicle.

In Singapore, there are ERP gantries on selected roads to help control traffic congestion. You will incur an ERP charge when you drive through the gantries during operational hours.

When exiting Singapore
You can bring your foreign-registered vehicle out of Singapore via Tuas or Woodlands Checkpoint. Taxis can only exit Singapore via Woodlands Checkpoint. Before you leave, ensure that you have sufficient value in your Autopass card to pay all the fees and charges incurred during your vehicle's stay in Singapore.
Avoid fines of up to $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months for the first offence by using the Autopass card for your vehicle to pay entry and exit tolls at the checkpoints. Do not insert a NETS CashCard/Motoring Card, local CEPAS card or an Autopass card issued to another vehicle into the card reader at the immigration booth.
Remember to top up your Autopass card in other parts of Singapore in advance, as there are no top-up machines at the checkpoints.
At the immigration booth, insert your Autopass card into the card reader to register your vehicle's exit and pay the applicable fees for your vehicle.
