Pasir Ris Dr 1 between Pasir Ris Dr 8 and Pasir Ris Central is closed from 8 October 2023 to fourth quarter of 2028 to facilitate construction works of Cross Island Line (CRL) Pasir Ris Station.

Loyang Avenue between Pasir Ris Dr 3 and Loyang Way is closed from 26 February 2023 to second quarter of 2029 to facilitate construction works of Loyang Station and Loyang Viaduct.

To facilitate travel to LIE/ALPS/CAC, two shuttle bus services, LCS1 and LCS2, between LIE/ALPS/CAC and Tampines / Punggol towns respectively have been introduced since Thursday, 23 February 2023. There are 2 trips per service during weekdays mornings and evenings. Only EZ-Link cards or contactless banks cards can be used to pay for the flat fare of $3.20 for each trip.

All shuttle bus passengers going into CAC are to ensure that they have a valid pass to enter CAC as there will be no changing of visitor passes allowed at the Police Guard Post along ALPS Avenue. In addition, public transport options are available for travel to LIE/ALPS/CAC from nearby residential towns. Visitor pass exchange is available at the Police Pass Office along Airline Rd. Please see below, or use the MyTransport app to find out more.

To facilitate road resurfacing works along the slip roads from PIE (Changi) Exit 22 to Eng Neo Ave and Eng Neo Ave to PIE (Changi), the following will be closed to traffic from 12.01am to 05.00am (daily):

To facilitate the construction of the North-South Corridor, the existing Marymount Flyover will be closed from 8 October 2023 to the end of North-South Corridor construction in 2029. Motorists travelling along Marymount Rd towards the City or Ang Mo Kio will be directed to a new road through a new cross junction intersecting Braddell Rd.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.

To facilitate the construction works for Cross Island Line Hougang Central at Hougang Central Rd, the following will be closed to traffic from 12.00am, 28 August 2022 to 2^nd Quarter 2029:

To facilitate Cross Island Line (CRL) Teck Ghee Station and North-South Corridor construction works, Ang Mo Kio (AMK) Ave 6 (about 500m between AMK Ave 1 and AMK Ave 3) will be diverted and reduced to two-lane dual carriageway from 9 Jun 2024 onwards:

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and encouraged to plan for extra travelling time.

To facilitate construction works at Ang Mo Kio St 24, the following will be closed to traffic from 9 September 2022:

To facilitate the North South Corridor (NSC) construction works, traffic lanes along Thomson Rd at Whitley Rd junction and PIE(Tuas) Slip Road towards Upp Thomson Rd, as well as Whitley Rd at Dyson Rd junction, will be reconfigured from 26 Oct 2025 to Q1 2028. Delays are expected while travelling along this stretch of Thomson Rd and Whitley Rd.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.

To facilitate the construction works for North South Corridor (NSC), Mackenzie Rd Exit to Bt Timah Rd will be temporarily closed from 18 May 2025 to 18 April 2026 (tentatively). 

Motorists are advised to use the alternative route via Mayne Rd to travel from Mackenzie Rd to Bt Timah Rd. Part of Mackenzie Rd will be re-marked to guide motorists to exit via Mayne Rd.

To facilitate the North-South Corridor (NSC) construction works, the traffic lanes at AMK Ave 5 and Ave 6 junctions will be converted to a roundabout from 18 August 2024 to April 2026. Delays expected while traveling along this stretch of AMK Ave 5 and Ave 6.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.

To facilitate the North South Corridor (NSC) construction works, the traffic lanes along Thomson Rd at Thomson Ln junction and Mt Pleasant Rd junction will be re-configured from 26 January 2025 to March 2026. Delays expected while travelling along this stretch of Thomson Rd.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.

To facilitate North-South Corridor construction works, PIE(Changi) Exit 17D slip road towards Thomson Rd will be rerouted via Mount Pleasant Rd to join to Thomson Rd from 23 July 2023 to February 2026. Delays expected while travelling along this stretch of Thomson Rd.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.

To facilitate the construction works for North-South Corridor (NSC), Queen St between Rochor Rd and Ophir Rd will be closed from 1 September 2024. Motorists are advised to use the alternative route via Victoria St to travel from Ophir Rd to Rochor Rd.

To facilitate Car-Free Zones in the Kampong Gelam precinct, regular road closures will resume at Bussorah St and Baghdad St on weekends, and Haji Lane and Bali Lane throughout the week, from 22 July 2022. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the traffic signage on site.

To facilitate pedestrianisation works to enhance walkability in the Civic District, Connaught Dr and Fullerton Rd/Anderson Bridge will be permanently closed off from 30 December 2021, 12.00am.  Motorists are advised to use Parliament Place to access developments within the Civic District and Saint Andrew’s Rd.

To facilitate safer vehicular movements as part of the upcoming Silver Zone, a section of Lorong 5 Toa Payoh towards Lorong 4 Toa Payoh (near to the junction of Lorong 5 Toa Payoh/Toa Payoh East) will be realigned on 11 October 2021. This change will be made permanent. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional traffic signage on site.

To facilitate the infrastructure development of new Jurong Region Line MRT Viaduct, Jurong Rd will be expunged from 27 September 2020, 12.00am. Motorist are advised to use the alternate road on PIE expressway to travel between Jurong West Ave 2 and Bukit Batok Rd.

To facilitate Car-Free Zone, regular road closures will resume at section of Liang Seah St from North Bridge Rd to the back lane near Beach Rd every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays, 6.30pm to 12.00am from 6 October 2023. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the traffic signage on site.

To facilitate construction works for Punggol Digital District and Punggol Point District, sections of Punggol Rd and Punggol Point Rd will be closed permanently from 23 February 2020.

From 3 February 2020, 12.00am, the Slip Road from Rochor Rd to Ophir Rd will be closed. This is to facilitate NSC construction works. Motorists can alternatively make a U-turn at Serangoon Rd – Rochor Canal Rd Junction and enter Ophir Rd via Sungei Rd.

To facilitate infrastructure development on Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus, there will be new network of three separate routes that are not interconnected from 29 December 2019, 05.00am. Motorists are advised to follow the directional traffic signage on site to enter SGH via College Rd, Hospital Dr, Hospital Boulevard or Second Hospital Ave, depending on their destination.

From 28 September 2019, 12.00am, the service road (between Malacca St and Market St) will be converted to a one-way road as part of the redevelopment works of the former Golden Shoe Carpark. This is to facilitate and enhance the flow of traffic within the network of roads. Motorists travelling along Market St will no longer be able to turn into the service road and exit via Malacca St. As such, all traffic intending to enter the service road shall only enter via Malacca St and exit via Market St.

From 17 February 2019, 12.01am, part of Market St (between Church St to Malacca St) will be expunged to convert the road to a public park as part of the redevelopment works of the former Golden Shoe car park. The streetscape around Raffles Place will be enhanced to transform the area into a more vibrant and people-friendly green zone in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD). Motorists along Church St heading to Chulia St will no longer be able to access this road and should use D’Almeida St, after Cecil St junction, to reach their destinations.

To facilitate the construction of Jurong Region Line's Jurong East Station, Gateway Link will be expunged from 26 January 2019 at 11.00pm, to amalgamate the two separate land parcels originally separated by Gateway Link.  Motorists who previously used this road can now use Jurong East Street 12. The dual 2-lane carriageway of Jurong East St 12 was widened to a dual 3-lane carriageway to provide additional road capacity.  Two new traffic signalised junctions were also added to facilitate the rerouting of traffic due to the closure of Gateway Link.

From 3 January 2019, at 12.00am, a portion of the one-way Canning Rise will be expunged to create seamless connectivity between Fort Canning Park’s Farquhar Garden and Fort Canning Green, and a pedestrian friendly environment within the park. The portion of the road to be expunged starts after the Registry of Marriages to before the National Museum of Singapore’s coach drop off bay.

The expunged street ceases to be a public street with effect from the same date. Please refer to Annex for the map.

The road closure timing for Lorong Mambong and Lorong Liput will be revised from 6.30pm to 04.00am to 6.30pm to 03.00am (daily) with effect from Wednesday, 31 October 2018.

To facilitate construction works for Punggol Digital District (PDD), sections of Punggol Rd and Ponggol 17th Ave will be closed to vehicular traffic permanently from 26 August 2018. A section of Ponggol 17th Ave will remain open for access to Punggol Way. The northern section of Punggol Rd will also remain open for access to The Punggol Settlement via Punggol Way.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will expunge Armenian St (Part) with effect from 29 July 2018 and 20 August 2018. The expunged street ceases to be a public street with effect from the same date.

Kerbau Rd and Chander Rd (from Race Course Rd to exit point for Blk 668) and Dunlop St will be closed to vehicular traffic, every Sunday from 12.00pm to 12.00am. The road closure will take effect from 28 December 2014.

The vehicular access route to Havelock Square from Havelock Rd and New Market Rd is closed with effect from 2 December 2016, 10.00pm, for the construction of the new State Courts Towers. As such, the passenger pick-up/drop-off point outside the Family Justice Courts Building is no longer available.

The new passenger pick-up/drop-off point for State Courts users and visitors is along Upper Cross St. Family Justice Courts users and visitors can use the new passenger pick-up/drop-off point along New Market Rd (entrance from Havelock Rd).

As part of the larger efforts towards a car-lite Civic District, the following enhancements will take place. 

From 1 June 2016, only authorized vehicles, including public buses and coaches will be allowed to access Connaught Dr from Stamford Rd. There will be a new roundabout for traffic from Connaught Dr to proceed towards Esplanade Drive or St Andrew's Rd. Cars leaving Esplanade Theatres' basement car park at Connaught Dr will be required to turn right into Stamford Rd. There will be no vehicular access into Coleman St from St Andrew's Rd. Traffic from Parliament Place will be re-routed to Supreme Court Lane to access St Andrew's Rd via Coleman St. Parliament Place will be accessible only to public buses and coaches. 

From 1 July 2016, buses and heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Fullerton Rd / Anderson Bridge from Collyer Quay / Esplanade Bridge. They will be diverted to Esplanade Dr / Esplanade Bridge.

Permanent closure of Lembu Rd during its peak period on Sundays, between 12.00pm and 12.00am. The road closure will take effect from 8 June 2014.
