LTA | Licensing of EV Charging Operator

All EV Charging Operators (EVCOs) must obtain a licence to provide EV charging services to the public or to operate public EV charging stations.

Licence application

EVCOs must comply with licensing requirements and conditions, such as purchasing third-party public liability insurance to cover their operations and providing charging-related data to LTA.

The licence is valid for 3 years and is renewable.

A licence is not required for homeowners who operate chargers to charge their households' vehicles, or for fleet owners who operate chargers to charge vehicles of their fleets.
